About Me
Hi, I'm Michelle 👋🏻
I’m a product design lead focused on systems thinking, cross-functional strategy, and building scalable product experiences. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across agency, startup, and in-house environments, leading design systems, shaping product direction, and driving end-to-end redesigns across e-commerce platforms used by millions of customers.
My work sits at the intersection of product, business, and operations, translating complex requirements into clear, usable systems. I’m especially interested in how design can align teams, reduce friction, and support better decision-making at scale.
As founder of Mish Mosh Studio, I partner with founders and small teams to bring structure and clarity to their product and growth efforts, from defining UX strategy to building systems that scale across product, marketing, and operations.
When I’m not behind a laptop, I’m teaching at FIT, at a comedy show with friends, adding another restaurant to my saved list, or checking flights to Paris.
Teaching & Mentorship
I teach Design Systems for UX and UI at the Fashion Institute of Technology, guiding students through translating research and brand identity into scalable interface systems. This work has strengthened my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, mentor designers at different levels, and create structured frameworks that teams can apply in real-world product environments.
What Draws Me To This Work
I’m motivated by the idea that well-designed systems make complex parts of everyday life feel clearer, more usable, and more human. The products we rely on, from managing finances to organizing our time, are often where design has the most responsibility to be thoughtful, accurate, and intuitive.
I’m especially drawn to work that sits at the intersection of research, design systems, and real-world application. I care about translating insight into structure, helping teams create experiences that are not only usable, but consistent, scalable, and grounded in how people actually think and behave.
That same interest carries into how I work with others. Whether through teaching, mentorship, or collaboration, I’m invested in helping designers and teams build stronger foundations, communicate more clearly, and make better decisions over time.
