About Me
Hi, I'm Michelle 👋🏻
I’m a UX leader and design systems specialist focused on helping teams translate research into clear, scalable product experiences. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across agency, startup, and in-house environments, leading redesigns, building design systems, and improving e-commerce platforms used by millions of customers. My work is grounded in behavioral insight, usability testing, and systems thinking, ensuring that design decisions are both user-centered and strategically effective.
As founder of Mish Mosh Studio, I collaborate with clients across industries and time zones, bringing strategy and craft together to build websites, products, and systems that convert. My favorite projects are the ones that make people’s lives a little easier or more delightful.
When I’m not behind a laptop, i'm teaching at FIT, laughing at a comedy show with friends, adding a new restaurant to my saved google maps or checking prices on flights to Paris.
Teaching & Mentorship
I currently teach Design Systems for UX and UI at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I guide students through the process of translating research and brand identity into scalable interface systems. Teaching has deepened my commitment to clarity, structure, and evidence-based design, and has strengthened my ability to communicate complex UX concepts in ways that are practical and actionable.
What Draws Me To This Work
I’m deeply motivated by the idea that good UX makes everyday life feel more understandable, usable, and humane. I love that this work can be strategic, evidence-based, and provable, while still shaping experiences people genuinely rely on.
Many of the things I care about are mediated through technology, saving places I want to visit, sharing moments with friends, booking a workout, organizing my life, often through a phone in my hand. I find something both ordinary and meaningful in that, and I’m drawn to the responsibility of making those experiences clearer, more respectful, and more supportive of real human needs.
I’m especially drawn to work that bridges research, design systems, and education. I care deeply about helping teams and designers create products that are both usable and meaningful, and about contributing to the broader UX community through teaching, mentorship, and thoughtful design practice.
